Choosing your dragon staff length
The most common length for a dragon staff is anywhere between your chin and nose height. As a general guide, measure from the ground to your nose, or you simply deduct 150 mm from your height to help select your dragon staff length.
Height/Length: 150-159cm = (1400mm) | 160-174cm = (1500mm) | 175-190cm = (1600mm) | 191cm+ = (1700mm)
Aluminium, Carbon or Hybrid Pole?
High grade Aluminium has been the go to for Flow Arts poles for a long time and still is considered fantastic.
Carbon Fibre is Lighter and Stronger than Aluminium, but more expensive. The weight different is personal preference, but generally Carbon Fibre is seen as the better option putting the weight at the end of the shaft more than the middle. This is the best option for feel of playing and durability.
Hybrid ends are definitely the prettiest for LED, having the extra light units in the shaft really adds to the effect.
The most Common Setup is 1500mm - Hybrid or Carbon Fibre ends.
