Flow arts and fire spinning are an amazing practice for your mind and body. It is very much a form of movement meditation.

Brad Russell is your instructor. He has had a career in fire arts for over 20 years, bother performing and teaching. He would love to share some of that experience with you.

SpinPoi for Youth is a 4-session creative movement program designed to help young people explore movement, rhythm, coordination and self-expression in a supportive environment.
Using poi, participants learn simple movements and patterns through structured play, free exploration, routines and gentle cool-down activities.

✨ Encourage social participation
✨ Enjoy positive physical activity
✨ Learn new skills at your own pace
Sessions can be adapted for seated or standing participation, with participants encouraged to work within their own comfortable range of movement and take breaks whenever they need them.
There is no pressure to be perfect and no requirement to perform. Every participant can learn, explore and progress in their own way.
The program is particularly suited to young people with disabilities, challenges, disadvantages or quirks who enjoy music, movement, creativity, rhythm or trying something different.

NDIS participants and families are encouraged to discuss whether this activity aligns with their individual NDIS plan and funding arrangements with their Support Coordinator, Plan Manager or NDIS representative.
After doing this course you will feel more competent and confident to show your friends and family your new hobby.
In this 2 hour course you will learn the fundamentals of fire safety and responsible fire twirling conduct.
There are theoretical and practical component.
In theory we will cover the materials and fuels used. Costuming, Staging and Prop maintenance. First Aid. Using Blankets and extinguishers. We will discuss and explore clean and safe performance practices as well as procedures for fueling and extinguishing different types of props.
Once we have covered the theory unit everyone will have the opportunity to fuel a prop, play with it and then extinguish it.

Highly capable in most Flow Arts props but specializes in Staff & Poi, with a great passion for Contact Staff and Double Staff.
